Level 2 home install
Mount, dedicated 240V circuit, commission & ESA inspection. Charger supply optional.
- Up to ~15 m cable run
- Tesla / universal connector
- ESA permit & inspection
GTA Electric installs Level 2 home EV chargers and commercial & fleet charging stations across the Greater Toronto Area. We handle the load assessment, panel upgrade, smart load management, and ESA inspection — for Tesla, NACS, and universal J1772 connectors. Most home installs are completed in a single visit.
A dedicated 240V circuit charges most EVs in 4–8 hours overnight. We size the breaker, run clean conduit, mount the unit, and commission it — then file the ESA inspection so it is certified and safe.
Multi-port stations for condos, workplaces, and fleet yards. We design the service capacity, add smart load management so you do not over-build the panel, and set up networked access and billing.

Most Level 2 home EV charger installations in the Greater Toronto Area run between $1,200 and $2,500. The final price depends on the cable run distance from your panel, whether a 100A-to-200A panel upgrade is needed, and municipal permit fees. GTA Electric gives you a fixed-price quote after a free load assessment — and the ESA inspection is included.
Yes. In Ontario, any hardwired EV charger or new 240V circuit must be installed by a licensed electrical contractor and filed with the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) for inspection. GTA Electric (ESA Lic. #7009809) pulls the permit, installs to code, and passes the ESA inspection on every job.
A typical Level 2 home charger is installed in a single visit of 2 to 4 hours. If your panel needs an upgrade or the cable run is long or complex, we schedule accordingly and confirm timing in your quote.
Not always. Many GTA homes with a 200A service and spare capacity can add a 40–60A charger circuit directly. Older 100A panels may need an upgrade or smart load management. We run a load calculation during the free assessment so you know before we start.
Yes. We install Tesla Wall Connectors, NACS, and universal J1772 chargers from all major brands. If you are unsure which to buy, we recommend a connector based on your vehicle, future-proofing, and budget.
Rebate and incentive programs change over time at the provincial, municipal, and utility level. We keep track of current GTA programs and flag any you may qualify for when we quote your install. [Confirm current rebate details before publishing.]
